Here's How To Celebrate National Wellness Month With MusiCares
While COVID-19 and its Delta variant rage on, it's more important than ever to invest in self-care and maintain healthy habits. These include eating a well-balanced diet and keeping up with your sleep routine. Research suggests that self-care promotes happiness and positive health outcomes, such better managing stress and even living longer.
This Wellness Month, join MusiCares for numerous opportunities to improve upon physical self-care, from yoga and body tuning to physical therapy and preparing for life on the road again. Preserve and protect your sobriety and/or the sobriety of those you love with weekly support groups and a partnership program with Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation on interventions and family coaching.
The Actor's Fund will also join MusiCares to discuss affordable housing for the entertainment community in the Greater New York City area, emphasizing the importance of having a safe and cost-effective place to live to support overall wellness.
Whether you attempt a new yoga pose, attend one of these valuable programs to get access to important resources, or choose another form of self-care, MusiCares encourages everyone in the entertainment community to celebrate this August with intention and find minor changes that can impact your health in positive ways.

Musicians seem to understand and take care of their instruments better than they do their own bodies. Although we may not identify as such, music industry professionals are their own type of athlete and their bodies become accustomed to being in touring shape through time on the road.
After a year of minimal performance due to the live industry being shut down because of the pandemic, our bodies are out of shape and not prepared for the unique strain working in the music industry can create. Join us to learn how to tell what specific type of pain you are experiencing, how to prepare your body to return to full-time work and gain unique knowledge and tools to avoid causing future injuries.
