On Nov. 7 MusiCares, in conjunction with health provider Concorde Inc., sponsored a free flu shot clinic at the Philadelphia Chapter office. For a three-hour period, flu shots were free to all music industry students and professionals in the Tri-State area as well as their spouses. In the friendly relaxed atmosphere of the Chapter office, individuals receiving their shots while discussing a variety of topics including the structure of The Recording Academy and membership benefits. Most local members were surprised at the increasing number of services and outreach programs The Academy offers.
