The Tuesday following Thanksgiving marks GivingTuesday, a global movement dedicated to celebrating generosity. Each year, GivingTuesday encourages people around the world to give back to the causes that are the most important to them — and, in turn, harnesses the power of people to transform their communities.

In 2023 alone, GivingTuesday helped raise $3.1 billion in charitable donations, according to USA Today. But even if you can't offer money on GivingTuesday, you can participate by inspiring generosity through an act of kindness, showing up for an important cause, or even sharing a simple smile.

If you are looking to donate on GivingTuesday, consider MusiCares in support of the well-being of the music community. While MusiCares' three key areas of services are Mental Health & Addiction Recovery Services, Health Services and Human Services, we also aid disaster relief. Most recently,  MusiCares is supporting the music community affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

Serving as our fourth largest disaster relief effort, MusiCares has processed just under 600 applications equaling over $1,300,000 distributed in disaster relief aid to music professionals impacted by these storms. We are continuing to process applications and provide aid. And on GivingTuesday 2024, 100 percent of your donation will fund MusiCares' crucial disaster relief efforts.

Thank you for helping us provide a safety net for all music professionals during this season of giving.

If you or someone you know is a music professional who is struggling, please visit our website to learn more about our services, and reach out to MusiCaresRelief@musicares.org to ask for help.
